A lovely horse is always an experience... It is an emotional experience of the kind that is spoiled by words. ~Beryl Markham

Sam
1992-2004
Sam was found as a little kitten in our barn. He was to go to the SPCA, but I just could not let him go.
Kiara and Dream watching as we fence off the pastures (2007), wondering how they can get in on the action.
Dash
1998-2006
Dimitri (Ragdoll)
1999-2007
Dash was lost to cancer, and Dimirti to a heart condition. They were opposites in about every way, but loved no matter what trouble they would get into. Whether it was Dash catching mom's finch and parading down the hallway with it, or Dimitri chasing his little green army men and destroying everything in his path to do so.

" Dory"  Sept 2006
Briarbush Lindor Special
Daisy May, Bug and Dory are our house cats. Daisy May was born in my vet assistant class, and was the only kitten to survive in her litter of 4. She is a special kitty, having basically little balance and a lack of depth perception due to a inherited condition. However, she is the queen of the house. Bug came from the barn down the road to be my barn cat. Chosen for her double paws, she was just a little spiting and hissing ball of fur. She now is a really lovable house cat due to complications after her spay.
Dory is my little princess. She is a seal mink Ragdoll I got from a co-worker. She is a true Ragdoll in every way, loving to be toted around the house and hanging upside down.

These are my two barn cats. I do believe they may be the only two locked in the barn, barn cats I know. I call them my house cats in a rural setting.
